Anxiety Disorders

Anxiety is a natural response to stress — but when it becomes overwhelming, persistent, and interferes with daily functioning, it may indicate an anxiety disorder. Symptoms can include constant worry, racing thoughts, restlessness, muscle tension, rapid heartbeat, shortness of breath, and avoidance of certain situations or places.

Common anxiety disorders we treat include:
• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
• Panic Disorder
• Social Anxiety Disorder
• Phobias
• Separation Anxiety (in children and adolescents)

At Afe Behavioral, we provide a safe and nonjudgmental environment for clients to explore their fears and anxieties. Through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and medication management when appropriate, we help individuals develop effective coping strategies and reclaim a sense of calm and control in their lives.
